Your visit to Dubai is not complete without a trip to the famous Dubai Gold Souk, one of the oldest and most fascinating traditional markets in the emirate. The souk consists of over 380 merchants, most of whom are jewelry merchants. Whether you just want to look or are really interested in buying, stroll through the glittering gold market, where you will discover exquisite designs from around the world in gold, platinum or silver, diamonds, pearls or other precious stones. All goods are carefully checked by the government of Dubai, to have the guarantee of quality. You can be sure of the quality of the purchased products. The best time to visit the gold market in Dubai is in the afternoon to evening. Shops usually close at 22:00, but at closing time you can negotiate the best prices. Located near Dubai Bay, in the Al Râs area of Deira, it can be reached both by land taxi, by water taxi from Bur Dubai with Abra for Experience, and by public transport - bus or metro. We do not recommend traveling by car, as the area is very crowded and it will be almost impossible to find a parking space. In the immediate vicinity of the gold market we discover the spice market of Souk Dubai Deira. The multitude of flavors and spices is simply dizzying, hard to imagine and explain in words. From nutmeg to cinnamon, saffron or turmeric, to dozens of varieties of hot peppers, cardamom and cloves, you will be surrounded by sensory pleasures that are hard to control. Used especially in oriental cuisine, in the preparation of traditional Arabic delicacies, the spices in the market are brought from all over the Middle East, but also from other parts of the world. A tradition with deep cultural significance in the history of the Emirates, Dubai's perfume industry is present in the row of shops lined east of the gold market, known as the 'Dubai Perfume Market'. Perfume is specific to Arab life and you can feel its strong sensual aromas wherever you go.
Here you can find out everything about oud and bakhoor, about their characteristics. Among the hundreds of stores you will surely find "your perfume", if not, you can ask for a unique perfume to be prepared for you, according to your ph and personality, a perfume with which you will impress your family and friends. You can find Arabic perfume in this market in different forms: essences, oils, sticks, crystals, incense, dust, stones or wooden elements.
It should be remembered that it is good to go to the souk in the evening, with comfortable shoes, with the art of negotiation well developed to obtain very good prices.
